Double-Nut Angled PCB Socket
The B Series ZXG socket combines the double-nut front-panel fixing of the ZCG with the 90° PCB orientation of the ZPG. The chrome-plated socket face mounts flush on the panel with two hex nuts, while the angled PPS insulator drops short straight pins onto a PCB lying perpendicular to the panel. This closes the loop between panel mounting and board-level connection in one part, in 00B, 0B and 1B sizes.
Key features
- Double-nut front-panel fixing, no rear access needed
- 90° mating axis relative to the PCB plane
- Short straight solder pins for board mounting
- 00B / 0B / 1B contact layouts, 2–32 contacts per layout
- PPS insulator, brass chrome-plated face, gold-plated contacts
- Full-metal shielding construction: ≥75 dB at 10 MHz, ≥40 dB at 1 GHz

Keying options
The socket uses the B Series positioning-pin keying system with 0° (G) as the standard key position; 30° (A), 60° (B), 90° (C), 45° (J) and 155° (F) positions are listed in the catalogue.
FAQ
How does ZXG differ from ZPG?
ZPG is the compact PCB socket without panel hardware. ZXG adds the double-nut fixing and threaded shell, so the connector is fixed to the panel with two nuts and its short straight pins still reach a board mounted perpendicular to the panel.
Which pin grid does the PCB layout use?
The catalogue drawing lists an R dimension of 5.08 mm for the 00B size and 7.62 mm for 0B and 1B. Confirm your board footprint against the pin-out drawing we provide with the quote.
Which plugs mate with the ZXG socket?
B Series TGG, THG, TEG and TAG plugs in the same shell size, contact layout and keying position.
Typical applications
Suited to panel-mounted instrument modules where the interface board sits vertically inside the enclosure and the mating face must remain serviceable from the front — data acquisition fronts, machine control modules and compact test instruments.
