Angled PCB Socket for Board-Level Mounting
The B Series ZPG socket turns the mating axis through 90° against the PCB. The chrome-plated brass socket face sits on the front of a compact PPS insulator block, and short straight pins exit downward into the board, so the connector face stays flush with the device front while the soldering plane runs horizontally. It is the PCB counterpart of the B Series panel sockets where the board sits perpendicular to the panel, in 00B, 0B and 1B sizes.
Key features
- 90° mating axis relative to the PCB plane
- Short straight solder pins for direct board mounting
- 00B / 0B / 1B contact layouts, 2–32 contacts per layout
- PPS insulator, brass chrome-plated socket face, gold-plated contacts
- Full-metal shielding construction: ≥75 dB at 10 MHz, ≥40 dB at 1 GHz
- Mates with all B Series plug types in the matching shell size

Dimensions (mm)
Dimensions are grouped by shell size; part numbers run from 302 to 310 contacts depending on the contact layout:
| Shell size | A | D | H | I | K | L | N | R (grid) | Pin Ø |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 00B | 6.8 | 11.5 | 3.5 | 7 | 8.7 | 19 | 7.1 | 5.08 | 0.5 |
| 0B | 9 | 14.6 | 6.7 | 12.7 | 13.3 | 25 | 11.7 | 7.62 | 0.7 |
| 1B | 11 | 16.6 | 7.5 | 14 | 13.3 | 27 | 12.6 | 7.62 | 0.7 |
Keying options
The socket uses the B Series positioning-pin keying system with 0° (G) as the standard key position; 30° (A), 60° (B), 90° (C), 45° (J) and 155° (F) positions are listed in the catalogue.
FAQ
Which shell sizes does the ZPG cover?
The catalogue lists 00B, 0B and 1B layouts, from 2 up to 10 contacts in the 1B group. For larger layouts, see the straight-pin PCB sockets ZCG or the double-nut ZXG.
How do I match the ZPG to my board footprint?
Request the pin-out drawing with your shell size and contact count; the R grid dimension of 5.08 mm (00B) or 7.62 mm (0B/1B) in the table above gives a first check for routing.
Does the ZPG need panel hardware?
No — it is a pure board-level socket. If you also need front-panel fixing with nuts, use the ZXG double-nut version listed separately.
Typical applications
Use the ZPG socket inside cameras, sensors and compact controllers where the connector face must appear at the device edge while the PCB lies flat inside the housing.
Request drawings and samples
Tell us the contact count and PCB hole pattern, and we will confirm the ZPG part code and provide the pin-out drawing.
