Straight Plug with Protective Sleeve Tail

The B Series TGG sleeve-version straight plug is the push-pull core of the TRCONN B Series. Compared with the nut tail version, the sleeve tail carries a molded protective sleeve over the cable exit, covering the collet and giving the rear harness a closed finish. The positioning-pin keyed insulator prevents wrong mating, and the push-pull latch locks with one hand: push to latch, pull the release sleeve to unmate. Shell sizes run from 00B to 4B with 2–32 contacts.

    Key features

    • 2–32 contact layouts across 00B / 0B / 1B / 2B / 3B / 4B shell sizes
    • Push-pull self-latching with G-type 0° standard keying; other key positions help prevent mismating
    • D-type cable clamp covers 3.2, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2 and 7.2 mm cable OD
    • Brass chrome-plated shell, PPS insulator, brass gold-plated contacts
    • Full-metal shielding construction: ≥75 dB at 10 MHz, ≥40 dB at 1 GHz
    • Solder termination for cable assembly

    Keying options

0° (G) is the standard key position of the B Series positioning-pin system. 30° (A), 60° (B), 90° (C), 45° (J) and 155° (F) key positions are listed in the catalogue, letting you key adjacent connectors differently so the same shell size cannot be mated to the wrong line.

    FAQ

What does the sleeve tail change compared with the nut tail?

The nut tail version ends in a threaded collet nut; the sleeve version covers the cable exit with a molded protective sleeve, so the harness finish is closed and resistant to snagging. Electrical data and dimensions otherwise follow the same shell sizes.

How do I specify the cable clamp?

D-type clamps follow cable OD: D32 = 3.2 mm, D42 = 4.2 mm, D52 = 5.2 mm, D62 = 6.2 mm and D72 = 7.2 mm. Give us the cable OD in the inquiry and we will return the matching clamp code.

Which sockets mate with this plug?

B Series ZGG, ZEG, ZCG, ZPG, ZXG and DHG sockets in the same shell size, contact layout and key position.

    Typical applications

Use this sleeve version wherever the cable tail sits exposed on the outside of the enclosure — portable test instruments, stage and broadcast equipment, and industrial control cabinets — where the closed sleeve tail resists snagging and keeps the assembly tidy.
