Front-Sealed Plug for Dusty Enclosures
The B Series TEG plug adds a sealing O-ring at the front of the shell, so the mated pair seals at the panel face against dust ingress from the front side. It keeps the standard B Series push-pull latch, positioning-pin keying and solder contacts, in the 0B to 3B shell range with a closed sleeve tail. The catalogue also lists a lanyard version that keeps the dust cap attached to the plug.
Key features
- Front sealing O-ring on the mating face
- 0B / 1B / 2B / 3B shell sizes, 2–32 contacts per contact layout
- Solder termination, sleeve tail with cable clamp
- Brass chrome-plated shell, PPS insulator, brass gold-plated contacts, silicone seal
- Full-metal shielding construction: ≥75 dB at 10 MHz, ≥40 dB at 1 GHz
- Same latch geometry and keying system as the standard B Series plugs

Keying options
The TEG plug uses the B Series positioning-pin keying system with 0° (G) as the standard key position; 30° (A), 60° (B), 90° (C), 45° (J) and 155° (F) positions are listed in the catalogue for applications that need additional mismatch protection.
FAQ
Does the front O-ring make the connector waterproof?
The O-ring seals the mating face against dust at the panel surface. The B Series is rated IP50 when mated; for submersible or wash-down environments, see the K, T or W Series waterproof connectors instead.
Is there a version that keeps the dust cap attached?
Yes — the TEG lanyard version, listed separately, adds a stainless lanyard between the plug body and the dust cap so the cap cannot be dropped or lost in the field.
Which sockets mate with the TEG plug?
B Series ZGG, ZEG, ZCG, ZPG, ZXG and DHG sockets in the same shell size, contact layout and keying position.
Typical applications
Choose the TEG plug for front panels where dust and swarf settle on the connector face — machine control cabinets, test benches and industrial instruments — where the front seal keeps the contact area clean between mating cycles.
