The P Series PAG straight plug is the plastic push-pull plug of the family. The non-metallic shell suits medical instruments and other equipment where weight, insulation and cost matter, and the push-pull lock keeps mating to one hand.
Shell sizes and pin counts
| Shell size | Outside diameter | Pin counts |
|---|---|---|
| 0P | 10 mm | 2–9 |
| 1P | 14 mm | 2–16 |
| 2P | 17 mm | 2–32 |
| 3P | 20 mm | 2–16 |
The pin count you need determines the shell size: the largest count, 2–32 pins, is available on the 2P shell. The 3P shell carries 2–16 pins in a larger body, which leaves room for thicker cables.
Matching the plug to your cable
Cable outer diameter ranges from 2.2–4.2 mm on the smallest 0P shell up to 6.2–9.5 mm on the 3P. Pick the shell size that fits both your pin count and your cable; the ordering code also selects the matching cable gland.
Insulator, protection and mating life
The PC insulator is rated from -25 °C to +150 °C and the connector is specified for more than 2,000 mating cycles. The base protection class is IP50, with higher grades available on some shell sizes — confirm the grade for your size in the inquiry.
Ordering code
Example: PAG.0P.302.GLA42Z-GY. The code encodes the plug type, shell size, pin count and cable gland. Send us your pin count and cable outer diameter and we will derive the exact code for you.
Where it is used
Typical applications are medical instruments, nuclear power equipment and light industrial devices.
The panel side of the family is the P Series PKG plastic fixed socket, with hex nut fixing and PCB options in the same shell sizes.
Questions buyers ask before ordering
Which shell size fits my cable?
Check two things together: the pin count available on each shell (see the table above) and the cable outer diameter range, which runs from 2.2–4.2 mm on 0P to 6.2–9.5 mm on 3P. If both do not point to the same size, describe your build in the inquiry and we will suggest the closest fit.
What does the ordering code tell me?
Each segment of the code fixes one choice: plug type, shell size, pin count and cable gland. Once your pin count and cable diameter are known, the rest of the code follows.
What should an inquiry include?
The shell size, pin count, cable outer diameter, expected protection class, and your target quantity. These details help the supplier review the requirement and confirm the exact ordering code.
