    System notes

    Built around useful technology

The W Series TGG straight plug is built for underwater high-pressure service. A threaded, nickel-plated coupling with an O-ring and triangle seal combines the convenience of push-pull handling with IP68 sealing under sustained water pressure.

    How the sealing works

Two sealing elements sit in the coupling: an O-ring and a triangle seal. Together they hold the IP68 rating where the plug meets its socket, which is what separates this series from ordinary splash-protected connectors. The threaded nickel-plated coupling keeps the joint closed under pressure.

    Shielding for signal lines

The shielding performance is specified above 95 dB at 10 MHz and above 80 dB at 1 GHz. If your underwater link carries sensors, sonar or camera signals, compare these figures with the interference environment around your installation before fixing the design.

    Working range and mating life

The connector is specified for more than 1,000 mating cycles and operates from -20 °C to +200 °C. Solder-wire terminations use solder-type male and female contacts. Confirm your deployment temperature and mating frequency against these figures in the inquiry.

    Where it is used

Typical applications are underwater instruments, subsea lighting and any equipment exposed to sustained water pressure.

The equipment side of the pair is the W Series ZGG underwater high-pressure fixed socket, offered in 90° elbow and straight arrangements with the same sealing concept.

    Questions buyers ask before ordering

Which shell size and pin count should I choose?

Shell sizes run from 0W to 4W with 2–32 pins across the range. The pin count and cable diameter together decide the shell; describe both in the inquiry and we will confirm the configuration.

What water depth condition can it handle?

The series is rated IP68 for underwater high-pressure service. The suitability for a specific depth and duty depends on the installation, so state your depth condition and duty cycle in the inquiry and we will confirm the configuration before quoting.

    What should an inquiry include?

The water depth condition, pin count, cable outer diameter, expected mating frequency, and your target quantity.

    Request this connector

Tell us the water depth condition, pin count and cable diameter so we can confirm the W Series configuration.

    Product inquiry

Send the application, interface, target quantity and delivery window. We will return a clear route for feasibility, sampling and production.
