How the double-nut fixing works
The socket is clamped between two nuts on the panel or bracket, so the mounting does not depend on a threaded boss in the housing — the plate carries the fixing. This suits instrumentation builds where the socket sits on a mounting plate and connects onward to the board or harness.
Termination options
Three versions cover the usual layouts: solder-wire for harness wiring, straight PCB pins for direct board mounting, and the long elbow-pin PCB variant when a compact board needs the extra pin length and bend. State the version your layout expects.
Related S Series sockets
The same family also includes the S-DCA floating socket and the S-ZPL/ZXL 90° elbow PCB socket with lock nut, so one plug family can serve panel, cable and board sides. The S Series plug range additionally covers the S Series TFA single-core straight plug for coaxial and precision single-contact links.
Where it is used
Typical applications are instrumentation and automation equipment where the socket is fixed to a plate and connected to the board or harness.
Questions buyers ask before ordering
Wire, PCB or long elbow-pin PCB?
That follows your board and harness layout: solder-wire for cable-side wiring, PCB for direct landing on the board, long elbow-pin when the board is compact. All three are available versions of this socket.
Which shell size fits my panel?
Six sizes (00S–4S) carry 2–24 pins across the range. Give us the pin count and the panel cutout constraints and we will confirm the size.
What should an inquiry include?
The pin count, the termination style (wire, PCB or long elbow pin), the mating plug model, the panel or bracket construction, and your target quantity.
Request this socket
Include the pin count, termination style (wire, PCB or long elbow pin) and mating plug so we can confirm the variant.
