    System notes

    Built around useful technology

The K Series DHG floating socket combines waterproofing with alignment tolerance. Available in nut-mounted and PCB-mounted versions across the 0K–4K shell sizes, it absorbs hole position deviation while maintaining the IP66–IP68 sealing level of the K Series.

Why floating matters on sealed equipment

Outdoor machinery is usually wired after the panel is pre-assembled, so the two connector halves rarely line up perfectly on site. The floating range absorbs that hole position deviation during mating instead of forcing the contacts into alignment — and it does so without giving up the K Series sealing level or EMC environment.

    Sealing, temperature and mating life

The socket keeps the series’ IP66–IP68 range alongside a -55 °C to +250 °C working temperature and more than 5,000 mating cycles. Confirm the exact sealing class for your configuration in the inquiry, and check the temperature range against your site conditions.

    Family completeness

The K Series also includes 90° elbow plugs (THG), internal fixed sockets (ZGG) and external fixed sockets (ZEG), so plug, socket and board side can come from one matching family. The cable-side counterpart is the K Series TGG rigid waterproof straight plug.

    Where it is used

Typical applications are sealed outdoor equipment and machinery where panels are pre-assembled and misalignment must be tolerated.

    Questions buyers ask before ordering

    Floating or fixed socket?

DHG is the floating version; the fixed options are ZGG (internal) and ZEG (external). Choose floating when the hole positions can drift between assembly stages, fixed when positions are machined and repeatable.

    Nut or PCB mounting?

Nut mounting suits a through-panel installation; PCB termination suits a board-mounted build. Both are available versions of this socket.

    What should an inquiry include?

The pin count (2–30), the mounting style, the sealing class required on site, the plug model you plan to mate it with, and your target quantity.

    Request this socket

Tell us the pin count, mounting style and the matching plug model so we can confirm the waterproof floating socket.
