    System notes

    Built around useful technology

The HR10 floating socket is the camera-side half of the HR10 machine vision connector family. It comes in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12-pin versions, as a floating or fixed socket, and absorbs small alignment deviations so mating stays smooth even when mounting hole positions are not perfect.

    Why a floating socket helps

On a machine vision camera the socket is usually fixed to the camera housing or a machined bracket, and those parts rarely hold perfect hole positions. The floating range lets the two mating halves find each other instead of forcing the contacts into alignment; mating stays smooth and the contacts are protected.

    Pin count and terminations

The five pin counts let one small shell carry the camera’s power and signal lines together. Solder-wire termination suits cable harness building; PCB termination suits direct board mounting. State the pin count and termination you need in the inquiry.

    Fixed or floating mounting

Both mounting types are available under this product. Choose the floating version when the alignment between camera and cable side is uncertain; choose the fixed version when the mounting positions are machined and controlled.

    In the HR10 family

Fixed sockets, threaded-lock sockets and the larger HR25 versions complete the machine vision family. The cable-side counterpart is the HR10 machine vision straight plug with push-pull or threaded locking.

    Questions buyers ask before ordering

Floating or fixed — which should I order?

If your bracket positions are machined and repeatable, the fixed socket is enough. If alignment between the two halves can drift, the floating version absorbs the deviation. Both are listed under this product.

Is it suitable for wet environments?

The protection class is IP50, which covers dust protection rather than water. For wash-down or outdoor ports, describe the environment in your inquiry and we will point you to a waterproof series.

    What should an inquiry include?

The pin count (4 to 12), floating or fixed mounting, the termination style (solder or PCB), and your camera or instrument model if known.

    Request this socket

Include the pin count and whether the camera side needs floating or fixed mounting, and we will confirm the socket.

    Product inquiry

Send the application, interface, target quantity and delivery window. We will return a clear route for feasibility, sampling and production.
